Old Major pulled pork starts off as pork shoulder (the Boston butt to be precise). We dry rub the boneless shoulder with our proprietary BBQ spice blend and we let the shoulders get nice for a few days. We then smoke the shoulders low and slow with hickory and cherry until they can be easily pulled with a fork. Our pulled pork is then packaged in two pound bags and vacuum sealed.
Reheat the pulled pork by placing the sealed bag in a pot of hot water. This will keep the moisture and flavor in the pulled pork. Using tongs, remove the pouch from the hot water and cut the bag with scissors or a knife to remove the pulled pork. Serve hot with your favorite bbq sauce!!
If you do not intend to serve the pulled pork within 2 days, freeze until ready. Put the frozen pouch into hot water directly.
