Even to this day, it is the one item that is requested by everyone and its sheer presence at the festivities is verified by many, on multiple locations. Sweet potatoes, roasted and mashed, whipped with butter, eggs, vanilla, a little brown sugar, and topped with a crispy nutty crumble that leave you asking for more. Is it dessert masquerading around like a savory side? Who cares. It’s awesome.
