The last part of 2019 and all of January were a mad dash to finish writing my third “For Dummies” book for Wiley Publishing. This book was a lot of fun to write and quite frankly it was pretty easy because it was just a brain dump. If you’ve ever been curious about how to make your own sausages, bacons, or cured meats at home, this book is intended to give you a step by step introduction to the craft. You don’t need any prior knowledge to use this book. In-fact, if you have any experience in making the meats, this book will likely be too introductory for you. The goal was to give readers the information n
ecessary to safely get started in the craft of Charcuterie. In addition, we wanted to give some basic insights into party planning and entertaining with charcuterie. So if you don’t want to make the meats, but you want some tips for building killer spreads and even pairing with beer and wine, this will be a fun book to peruse.
We host meat crafting classes at Old Major. If you would like to get hands-on with it, join our email list and you will be the first to know when classes become available!
